Frequently Asked Questions

A financial advisor typically helps you manage investments and build long-term wealth. As a money coach, I focus on your day-to-day cash flow: organizing your current finances, building simple systems to pay down debt, and creating a spending plan for your goals, including having money to invest.
-
No. My goal is to help you spend intentionally, not to restrict you. We look at what matters most to you and figure out how to fund those things with confidence and without the guilt.
-
It is a lot like working with a personal trainer. You could figure it out on your own, but a coach gives you a roadmap, tools, and accountability. Results vary, but for many clients the clarity and peace of mind matter as much as the numbers.
-
That is a very common starting point. You do not need to prepare anything before we meet. I will give you simple tools to pull your numbers together, and we will go through them step by step during our sessions.
-
Not at all. Money is personal, and most of us were never taught how to manage it. Our sessions are confidential and judgment-free. We focus on where you are today and where you want to go.
-
We start with a relaxed conversation about what is going on and what you would like to change. Then we get a clear picture of your numbers and build a plan that fits your life. The goal is to set up systems that run on their own, so money takes up less of your time and headspace.
-
Sessions are virtual, so you can join from home. We usually meet more often at the start to build the foundation, then less often as you get comfortable. (And if you are local, I am happy to meet with you in person.)
-
Yes. Many couples find that getting on the same page about money is part of the work. If one partner is more hesitant, that is normal, and we can start with whoever is ready.
-
No. I do not sell investments, insurance, or other financial products, and I do not earn commissions. My only focus is helping you get clear on your money. I can work with you and your financial planning team side by side to help you get on track and succeed.
